Pardon my lack of originality, but obviously the title is a weekend program from my favorite radio station. WRXP stands for Weekend Rock Experience but it doesn’t cover three generations of rock just like the program. It is more of July-2014-ish rock selections or Arctic Monkeys and friends. It kinda revolved around AM, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes and other tracks with really cool guitar licks. The first three songs were My Sweet Summer, Arabella and Fever but anyone can contribute because its collaborative.

The Day Starter Playlist

I have been relentlessly blabbering about how in love I am with Spotify, since April 8 so I wonder why I haven’t written anything about it yet so here’s to further preach my self proclaimed exquisite taste in music. I’ll say a little something about the playlists I’ve made.
 

 

This is the Day Starter Playlist, basically I dance to this in the shower almost every morning. It started as a compilation of those I’ve SoundHounded from my favorite radio station with a mix of songs from the original Day Starter Playlist I have in iTunes. I still play it sometimes and I think it’s a bit better, but it doesn’t get updated like this one. Some are added from Spotify playlists with keywords “Indie” and “Hipster”. I just can’t help it, it’s where my mouse point to when I‘m picking from browse =)).

Weezer

It was like my Weezer rediscovery day.. didn’t know they were the one who sang those songs I like coz I first heard of them in Weezer tribute albums and Punk Goes Acoustic. I currently have 4 albums on my Ipod and still Island In The Sun is my perfect Weezer song.. What’s yours?? But of course.. Keep Fishing, We are all on Drugs, Say it Ain’t So.. and Best Friend are next on the list. Thanks @rowie

Owl City - Ocean Eyes

Owl City quench my thirst for Postal Service!! First heard of them when I saw Fireflies’ vid on MTV.. and yes I felt it! Made me go near the TV just to see the song and the artist clearly with my poor vision. I still like them even tho they are just self proclaimed copycats! >> here’s the article. Thanks Brews
